
Senior Audio Technician (Full Time)
Action Sound is expanding, and we’re on the hunt for a Senior Audio Technician to join our Sydney crew.
This role is ideal for someone who knows their way around a live event, is confident leading teams on-site, and genuinely cares about delivering great audio every time. From low-key community events to large outdoor shows, you’ll be someone who brings consistency, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to every job. You’ll be collaborating with clients on site to deliver their vision while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for their requirements.
About the Role
This role will include:

Bump in and bump out of audio systems

Operation of medium to large-scale live events

System setup, tuning, and troubleshooting

Working collaboratively with crew, clients, and event stakeholders

Leading small teams when required

Preparation of equipment for events
Event Types
Our events include:

Community festivals

Large outdoor concerts

Corporate events

Council-run activations and public events
We work within multiple councils and deliver events across NSW, occasional travel can be required.
Equipment & Technical Requirements
You will primarily be working with:

Yamaha digital consoles & Dante networks
-
Electro-Voice & Dynacord speaker systems
-
Shure & Sennheiser wireless system
Essential
-
Minimum 5 years’ operating experience in live audio production
-
Advanced knowledge of PA systems, digital consoles, RF coordination, and signal flow
-
Ability to work independently and lead when required

High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Weekend & night-time availability
-
Driver’s licence (manual) (MR preferred)

Hours of Work
Full Time Role – min. 38 hr p/w (plus managed overtime during peak periods)
