Junior Audio Technicians (Casual)

Action Sound is expanding, and we're on the hunt for a Junior Technician to join our Sydney crew.

 

This role is ideal for someone who knows their way around a live event and genuinely cares about delivering great audio every time. From low-key community events to large outdoor shows, you'll be someone who brings consistency, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-focused approach to every job. You'll be collaborating with clients on site to deliver their vision while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for their requirements.

 

Job Requirements:

• Assist in preparing equipment

• Assist in loading and unloading of vehicles and trucks

• Assist with installation and removal of equipment

• Safely and competently operate equipment during events (according to skill level)

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and other crew

• Be available and flexible to work day, night, and weekend shifts

• Must hold permanent resident status in Australia

Successful candidates will:

• Be presentable and punctual

• Have a friendly and professional attitude

• Be willing to learn and progress

• Have good communication skills

• Be a respectful team player

• Minimum 1 year operating experience in live audio production

• Knowledge of PA systems, digital consoles, RF coordination, and signal flow

• Enjoy working independently as well as in a team

• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills

• Weekend & night-time availability

• Driver's licence (manual preferred; training provided if needed)

• White card​

Desirable qualifications:

• Elevated work platform

• Working with children

• Truck licence (MR)

• Forklift licence
